چکیده
Bioremediation was a natural treatment process to eliminate pollutants at polluted locations using organisms. Blood shells (Anadara granosa) is one of bioremediation agents in reducing organic matter the waters. Therefore, this study conducted determine role blood as bioremediators waste from white leg shrimp ponds. The research performed following factorial completely randomized design with two factors, such density and shell length. results showed no significant difference between treatments 95% confidence level. Concentration total all decreased 200 mg/l 50 mg/l, which means that clams potential bioremediator absorb culture.

Concentration of metals (Zn, Cu and Pb) in the edible portion of commercially important blood cockle (Anadara granosa) collected from Langkawi Island, Malaysia was analyzed. Samples were collected from 3 different stations namely Kuah (KU), Kuala Triang (KT) and Pantai Kok (PK) during 2009. Heavy metal concentrations were detected using Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) with...

This study aimed to determine the occurrence of Vibrio parahaemolyticus in cockles (Anadara granosa) at a harvesting area and to detect the presence of virulent strains carrying the thermostable direct hemolysin (tdh) and TDH-related hemolysin genes (trh) using PCR. Of 100 samples, 62 were positive for the presence of V. parahaemolyticus with an MPN (most probable number) value greater than 3.0...
